Update
01/18/2013
Recently we have seen substantial progress made in the building
construction. The second floor slab was poured December 19th.
The structural steel was completed and inspected today. The
masons are onsite and bricks are beginning to go up. Plumbing,
electrical, and HVAC work are all going on inside the building.
The light poles will be going up in the West parking lot soon,
but will not have power to them until the transformer is in
place for the building. Demolition and reconstruction of the
parking lot East of the building has been postponed in order to
use this area for material and equipment storage.
Crossland is being environmentally friendly in the construction
of the building which will help us in achieving a LEED
certification. LEED recycling dumpsters for metal, concrete, and
wood are onsite to divert construction waste from the landfill.
Next week the roofing will begin. At this point the project is
ahead of schedule, thanks to good weather and dedicated
construction workers. If the weather continues to cooperate the
building should be dried in (totally enclosed so the weather
won't hinder the construction) by mid-March.
Thank
you,
George
