A brief introduction about myself. I have a Master of Arts in Communication from Pittsburg State University and am currently pursuing a Specialist in Ed. Degree. I am a full-time instructor at Labette Community College and I teach Communication courses in the Department of Communication. I have been full-time at Labette Community College since August of 2002 and enjoy all my teaching assignments.

I am originally from Colorado and have lived in Southeast Kansas for the past 27 years. I try to spend at least one month out of the year in Colorado to catch up with family, friends and fishing. I also enjoy horseback riding, photography and playing my electric and my acoustic/classical guitars.

I was born and raised in Neodesha, KS. I earned both my Bachelor of Arts and my Master of Arts in Communication from Pittsburg State University.

My career in higher education began in 2000 and I cannot imagine doing anything else. In the fall of 2009 I joined the team at Labette Community College and am so excited to be teaching full-time in the Communication Department. Currently I am teaching speech, public relations, advertising, and coaching forensics. Prior to LCC, my work in higher education included positions as a director of public relations, a director of enrollment management and marketing, and as a professional tutor for a student support services program.

My husband Brad and I live in the country outside of Neodesha with our two sons, Bryce and Gage, and our daughter Taelyn.
