Concurrent courses are taught during the high
school day by qualified instructors at each high school.
Dual Credit
courses are any courses taken by high school students outside of
the regular high school day, as regular college students.
Students "may" also receive high school credit if the USD board
approves such credit.

Coordinators
High school students are not
eligible for textbook scholarships. Some high schools opt to
purchase the current LCC textbooks for concurrent students-check
with your school!
Students taking Dual Credit
courses (on LCC campuses or online) are responsible for
purchasing their textbooks.
EXTENSION COURSES
Labette
Community College is proud to serve residents in several counties,
including Labette and Cherokee. Currently, we offer classes
at the following sites:
Labette County - Altamont
LCC offers general education courses at Labette County High School
Cherokee County - Baxter
Springs, Columbus, Riverton, and Cherokee Center
LCC reaches out to its outlying areas with many courses, services
and programs. A broad range of courses including general education
classes, workshops, and seminars are held at Baxter Springs High
School, Columbus High School, Riverton High School, and Cherokee.

Placement Testing for all students:
Any
new students or students with less than 12 academic credit hours
admitted to LCC after fall 2004
MUST take English, math and
reading placement tests
or have proof of acceptable ACT or SAT
scores.
