- Ryan Hodges, Graphic Design student, was selected as the Spring 2012 Latzer Art Award winner for his "Cardinal" typographic illustration.
- Nicki Tomlinson, Photography II Student, was selected as the Fall 2011 Latzer Art Award winner for her "River" photograph.

AMBER MCDANIEL
Amber graduated from LCC in 1998 with her A.S. in Graphic Design and Communications. During her time at LCC, she worked for Signature Sportswear in Parsons creating screenprinting designs for sports t-shirts and jerseys. After graduation, Amber accepted a position with ParForms in Parsons as a typesetter and designer. She then moved to Pittsburg, KS to work in the Digital Retouching department at Millers Professional Imaging. After a couple of years with Millers, Amber was promoted to a Digital Artist where she performs facial retouching, taking individuals in and out of photos, slimming people, and restoring heirloom portraits.
ELIZABETH O'BRIEN
Elizabeth graduated from LCC in 2010 with her Associates Degree in Graphic Design, where she served as Graphic Design Club President. Elizabeth was hired as a Graphic Designer with The Parsons Sun, where she designs newspaper ads for sales representatives and advertisers. Elizabeth creates both full-color and grayscale designs from one inch to full page ads. She is responsible for building ads and templates for the paper, digitally ensuring that the pages fit the plates correctly. one inch to full page ads |
