Radiography Application Procedures

Last day applications may be requested is March 25.
All applications must be completed and received by April 1st.

Step

1:

Contact the Health Science Secretary at (620) 421-6700 ext. 1157 or toll free at 1-888-LABETTE (522-3883) ext. 1157 and request an Application Packet and Program Information.
 

Step

2:

After reviewing the information, make an appointment to visit campus and discuss program admission procedures.

3:

Set up a visit through the Health Science Secretary to observe one of our clinical education center affiliates.
 

Step

4:

Set up an appointment through the Health Science Secretary to take the Health Occupations Basic Entrance Exam at LCC's Student Success Center.

5:

The following items must be submitted from the Application packet by April 1st to be considered for program admission.

  • Application Form
  • Personal Response
  • Clinical Preference List
  • Two letter of reference
  • Clinical Center Interview Form (submitted to clinical site during Step 3
  • Statement of Confidentiality (submitted to clinical site during Step 3)
  • Letter of Intent (Not included in Packet. Should be up to one page in length, stating why applicant wants to be in the radiography program.)

6:

The applicant should request that a high school transcript (with ACT scores), as well as college transcripts (from all colleges previously attended), be sent to the attention of:

The selection process takes place in April. All program applicants will be notified of the selection outcome by May 1st.  Classes begin in June.

If accepted into the Radiography Program, a history of immunizations, a receipt/record of updated shots, a physical, and a copy of health insurance verification will be required.

The student must take a pass a course in CPR certification or submit a copy of their current CPR card.

The student must submit a criminal background check. The cost incurred for the background check will be the responsibility of the applicant.

To complete the application for the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Examination, the question

"have you ever been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor?" Yes___  No___

must be asked and answered. Falsification of information is grounds for dismissal from the program. (Note: A conviction of, or plea of guilty to, or a plea of nolo contendere to an offense constitutes a conviction for A.R.R.T. purposes.)

If you answered "yes" provide explanation and official documentation. If, at any time during your attendance in the Program, the answer changes to "yes", it is your responsibility to inform the Program Director.
