The
Recording Arts Department at
Labette Community College is one of the few programs in the United
States offering an Associates Degree in Audio
Technology. In fact, we were the first to offer
this type of degree in the state of Kansas! One of the great
things about this is that students who are interested in the Music
industry and Audio Technology can now earn a degree in these areas
without the expense of moving to Nashville, New York, LA, etc. In
this way, Labette Community College enables you to pursue your
musical dreams by taking your first step right here in Parsons,
Kansas.
We offer audio recording training with industry standard
equipment and software including Pro Tools, Digital Performer,
and Logic Studio. In addition to professional audio, we have
state of the art video production classes as well. Instruction
is offered in both digital video editing with Final Cut Studio,
and live production with the Newtek Tricaster Pro. Students have
day and evening access to our computer lab loaded with a
plethora of our audio and video software suites as well.
This Recording Arts
Department combines both
hands-on training and academic study in a live performance, and
studio setting. So check out the links on this
page, and
then give us a call to come by and see just what LCC and the
Recording Arts Program have to offer you.
