Each student is required to do a hospital visitation to
“shadow” a respiratory therapist. The
intent is to help the student better understand the profession. To setup a date
and time for shadowing contact Linda Rife,
Health Science secretary or at 620-820-1157 or come by the Health Science secretary’s office on the
first floor of the Health Science building on the LCC main campus.

Shadow
days are typically 3-4 hours in length and are scheduled on Monday through
Friday. |

There is a statement of confidentiality and a hospital
visitation evaluation form located in the packet. Both of these are to be taken with you on the day of your
hospital visit.

Hospital Visitation Evaluation form is scored and is part of
the selection criteria.

|
Be prepared to do some walking during your visitation. You
should be neatly dressed but comfortable. No jeans or shorts. |
