With rising healthcare costs, ultrasound remains one of the
most affordable and accurate diagnostic modalities in medicine.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field is
anticipated to grow by 44% through 2020, with a median pay of
$64,380 per year nation-wide.
The Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program at LCC is one of only
three accredited programs in Kansas. Labette Community College
is dedicated to providing you with the education and
knowledge you need to enter the field of sonography as a
confident and highly-trained professional.
The curriculum for
this program is designed to prepare students to take the ARDMS
Registry exams before graduating.
Applicants must be an ARRT (or registry
eligible) OR have earned at least an Associate's
Degree in an accredited
Health Science Program that included a clinical
practice component with direct patient care.
Applicants must have taken and passed
College Algebra with at least a “C”.
