Course Description

Office Procedures is the study and development of personal qualities, skills, and knowledge needed for success in clerical occupations, including how to find and “land” the right office position, writing letters, using postal and shipping services, handling mail, filing, using the telephone, transmitting business messages, using banking and credit services, and handling financial transactions.

Students will need to have access to Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Prerequisites:

Basic Reading II required OR Compass 55-74 or ACT 13-16 or SAT 256-299

College Keyboarding or equivalent

Meeting Dates & Times:

All correspondence and tests will be online. The student will organize a notebook and will either need to mail it or bring it to campus prior to the last week of class.
