committee. Criteria for the award include teaching effectiveness, college
service, student involvement, professional development and community service.
All full-time faculty who have completed at least four years of full-time
teaching at LCC are eligible to be nominated.
Miller
has taught at LCC since August 2002.
Students
describe Miller as being a "very hard worker and always have time for
students. She also has an excellent attitude and is very patient.”
“Mrs.
Miller goes out of her way for each student to make sure that their individual
needs are being met and that they understand the material being presented to
them. She encourages us to achieve our full potential not only in her class,
but in our other classes as well.”
Other
students also said, “They answer questions without making me feel silly for
asking. They are so good at explaining and helping me visualize the subject
matter. I was very intimidated before I took this class, but now I’m
comfortable with it.”
