LCC SGA Hosting Red Cross Blood Drive

The Student Government Association of Labette Community College is hosting a blood drive on April 30th, from 12-6 p.m. and May 1st from 8 a.m. - 12p.m. at the Arvon Phillips Community Center, 200 S. Heacock in Parsons. All donors will receive a free t-shirt.

According to the American Red Cross, every two seconds there is a need of blood by someone in our country.  The community is invited to help the LCC SGA reach their goal of 50 units of blood.

The American Red Cross shelters, feeds and provides emotional support to victims of disasters; supplies nearly half of the nation's blood; teaches lifesaving skills; provides international humanitarian aid; and supports military members and their families. The Red Cross is a charitable organization — not a government agency — and depends on volunteers and the generosity of the American public to perform its mission.

For more information on how to donate to the LCC Blood Drive, please contact Tarah Cockrell, LCC Student Life Specialist, at 820-1178 or by e-mail at tarahc@labette.edu. For more information on the American Red Cross, please visit redcross.org or join our blog at http://blog.redcross.org.
