LCC PTK Sponsors Project Graduation

Project Graduation: Can World Hunger, is a Phi Theta Kappa civic engagement program that encourages community college students to donate canned goods and non-perishable food items and books to local relief agencies and literacy organizations. Labette Community College Tau Theta Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa will participate in Project Graduation and the literacy program, Book It to Project Graduation.

The mission of Project Graduation is to battle the social issues of hunger and low literacy skills by collecting non-perishable food items and books during college commencement season for distribution to needy recipients through community relief agencies and literacy organizations.

Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Labette Assistance Center or books for donation to the summer reading program. Donations will be collected in the Labette Community College Print Shop, Bookstore, and Student Union.  For more information, contact Tammy Fuentez, 620-820-1228.
