LCC Debate Signs Parsons High School Senior

 

Labette Community College’s Debate and Forensics team signed Parsons High School senior Adam Westhoff for the fall 2008 and spring 2009 semesters, Monday, February 4 at Parsons High School.

 

Present at the signing ceremony were Adam’s parents, Scott Westhoff and Sherri McGuire; Vice President of Academic Affairs, Joe Burke; President George Knox; PHS Forensics Coach Ruth Kindall and LCC Debate/Forensics Coach, T. J. Lakin.

 

“Adam will be an excellent addition not only to the debate squad, but also to the campus as a whole,” Burke said.  

 

“Adam was a dedicated student of mine when I taught debate at Parsons High School,” Lakin said. “I am pleased to welcome Adam to my squad.”

 

This was the first-ever signing ceremony for LCC’s debate/forensics team.
