LCC Holds January Board Meeting

The Labette Community College Board of Trustees met for its regular meeting on Thursday, January 19, 2012, 5:30 p.m. in the Conference Room on the second floor of the Student Union.

The following is a summary of the meeting.

Mr. Montie Taylor and Dr. Wanda Ladage were not present at the meeting.

The Board:

Approved the Board as presented;

Approved the December 8, 2011 meeting minutes as presented;

Public Comment: None

Dr. Knox introduced two new employees; Trudy Hansen, Physical Therapist Assistant Program Clinical Coordinator and Marisa Jordan, Women’s Volleyball Coach;

Approved the resignation of Penny Emory, Enrollment Management Specialist-Financial Aid and Juliana Kepner, Student Support Service Advisor/English Tutor;

Approved the Professional Staff Employment Letter for Trudy Hansen, Physical Therapist Assistant Program Clinical Coordinator;

Approved the payment of bills;

Faculty Senate President David Beach gave a short report

SGA Vice-President, Tylie Baumgardner gave a short report;

Heard an Administrative Report on comparison of expenditures to the budget from Leanna Newberry, 

Dr. Knox gave a short report;

Joe Burke, VP of Academic Affairs reported on his meeting at Kansas Board of Regents;

Public Comment: None

At 5:47pm, adjourned to Executive Session for 10 minutes for the purpose of discussing employer-employee negotiations. Reconvened at 5:57pm.
