Spanish for Law Enforcement Officers
Me gusta el espanol! Ole'! If you know what this means good for you, but if you don't then shame on you. LCC does have a solution for you though; you could enroll in the Workplace Spanish program. It features bite-size terms and phrases, plus easy phonetic pronunciations you can learn through this LCC course.
Here are some of the things you can get out of this course:
* Meet and greet Spanish-speaking people
* Do a field interview
* Identify people
* Question the driver at a traffic stop
* Work a drug stop, burglary or domestic violence call
* Speak with victims and witnesses
* Locate a 911 caller and make inquiries
* Use basic expressions- numbers, colors, time, days, months, and seasons
This course will be located at LCC Annex Building, room A107, beginning Tuesday, April 1 through April 29, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. It will be taught by Florence Espeseth.
For more information or to enroll, call Carol Rabig at (620) 421-6700 ext.1273 or 1-88-522-3883, extension 1273 or email carolr@labette.edu.
