LCC Students Pass ServSafe

 

Labette Community College began offering courses in the Culinary Arts field this semester.

 

Cindy Kiser is a certified ServSafe instructor and was the instructor of the Food Service and Sanitation course. Kiser reported that 100% of the students enrolled in the ServSafe class passed the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation exam. 

 

In order to pass the exam, students must obtain above a 75% on a 90 question exam, scored by the NRAEF, to receive certification. This will enable the students to teach the fundamental at their place of employment. ServSafe covers concepts dealing with food safety and sanitation in restaurants and food service institutions.
