LCC SkillsUSA Attends Leadership Conference

 

The newly formed Labette Community College SkillsUSA chapter attended a Fall Leadership conference in Hesston, October 3-4.

 

The newly elected members who attended were, President Pete Reynolds, Vice President Eric Lake, Secretary Stacy Daugherty, Treasurer Lucy Mwanzia, Parliamentarian Nate Pope, Historian Jimi Cobb, Reporter Sherry Simpson, and Advisor Becky Warren.

 

Reynolds was elected as a state officer, and won the Statesman Award. Jimi Cobb received 2^nd place in the Creed contest in which she gave a speech titled “Fair Play.”

 

During the conference members attended workshops on extemporaneous speaking, community service, job interviews, and pubic relations.
