Direct Loan Application
Process
Students who wish to apply
for a Federal Direct Student Loan must complete the following steps.

Go to
www.StudentLoans.gov and complete a Master Promissory
Note (MPN). If you have any problems completing the MPN, please
call 800-557-7394 for assistance. Sign in using your FAFSA PIN. If you do not have a PIN
or have forgotten your PIN go to
www.pin.ed.gov.

Complete the Entrance Counseling, this can be
accessed from the government site, same location as the MPN
www.StudentLoans.gov.

Complete the
LCC Entrance Counseling
Worksheet. The LCC Entrance Counseling Worksheet must be
requested from the LCC Financial Aid Office or follow the link above
to download.

Parents who wish to apply for a Parent PLUS Loan
must contact the Financial Aid Office for further instruction.
