Students who want to be considered for financial aid must submit a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Financial Aid Office will develop a financial aid package for all students who complete the FAFSA. |

Students are asked to complete and submit the FAFSA on the World Wide Web. The LCC Website has a link to the FAFSA at http://www.labette.edu/. Select Financial Aid than scroll down to How do you apply? By filing from the Web, applicants will receive their Student Aid Report in less than two weeks, compared to the current six to ten weeks for paper applications. Students have the option of mailing the regular paper application of the FAFSA or coming to the Student Services Office to have the form reviewed prior to mailing. Students needing assistance with the electronic FAFSA should call 620-820-1227 or 620-820-1236. The 620 prefix is not required when calling from Parsons. |

A FAFSA may also be picked up in the Student Services Office or the Financial Aid Office and from high school counselors. The best time to complete the FAFSA is about the same time as filing an income tax return, since much of the information required in the FAFSA refers to tax data. |
