Additional Graduation Information

  1. Degree Requirements:

    1. STUDENTS must provide official transcripts for all transfer work to the Registrar's Office

    2. STUDENTS must maintain an overall 2.0 or above GPA to be eligible to apply for graduation.

    3. STUDENTS who lack 5 credit hours or less at the end of the spring semester and plan to complete all requirements by the end of the fall semester following graduation are eligible to apply for and participate in the graduation ceremony.

    4. STUDENTS who apply for May 2014 graduation will be listed in the college's commencement program. The program is available at the commencement ceremony; however, listing in the is publication does not mean that a candidate has met all qualifications for a degree. Diplomas will be awarded only to students who successfully complete all degree requirements.

    5. UPON CONFIRMATION of degree requirements and clearance of all financial delinquencies, degree diplomas will be mailed by the end of June. All degree candidates should make sure their correct diploma mailing address has been given to the Registrar's Office. This is essential for ensuring timely receipt of your diploma, particularly if you will be moving from the Parsons area following graduation.

In order to obtain official copies of transcripts, all financial obligations to Labette Community College must be cleared. To see how to obtain an official copy of your LCC transcript, please go to our website, www.labette.edu, click on the Student tab and click on Registrar. Print off and complete the Transcript Request Form. The completed form can either be mailed or faxed to our institution. There is a $5 fee per copy of transcript and at the bottom of the form, is an area for your debit or credit card information.

Please make sure you select "Mail after degree is posted" when submitting transcript requests to ensure any degrees earned will be included.
