Apply for Graduation
must apply for graduation for all majors they plan to
graduate with by submitting a completed "Degree Check
Request" form signed by their advisor to the Registrar's
Office. The form will not be accepted if the advisor has
not signed it.
The complete "Degree Check
Request" form must be submitted to the Registrar's
Office by October 31 for Fall Semester graduates and January
31 for Spring Semester graduates.
official degree check will be evaluated by the Registrar;
transcripts from other institutions must be on file in
the Registrar's Office;
form must be
signed by advisor;
college hours completed and currently enrolled in must
equal 42 credit hours and
have an overall GPA of 2.0 or better to be eligible to
apply for graduation.
Students who lack
5 credit hours or less at the end of the spring semester and
plan to complete all requirements by the end of the fall
semester following graduation are eligible to apply for and
participate in the graduation ceremony.

Students will receive notification from the Registrar
indicating whether they have met the degree requirements. If
requirements have been or will be met by the end of the
following fall semester, additional graduation information
will be sent to the
awarded two times a year, December/Fall term and May/Spring
term, to students who have met all requirements.
Ceremony is held in May for both the December and May
those students who have received confirmation form the
Registrar they are eligible to graduate at the end of the
current academic year or graduated at the end of the prior
fall semester. )

Graduation with honors shall be determined by the following
grade point averages as calculated the semester prior to
graduation, which will include both LCC credit hours and
hours transferred in from other colleges.
a 4.0 LCC academic average are designated as
Summa Cum Laude.
a 3.75-3.99 LCC academic average are designated
as Magna Cum Laude.
a 3.50-3.74 LCC academic average are designated
as Cum Laude.
will be identified in the graduation program and may wear a
gold cord during the graduation ceremony.
