STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES (SSS)
Student Support Services (formerly Operation Excel) is a TRIO Student Service grant program funded by the United States Department of Education. This program is designed to primarily assist individuals who are first generation college students, low to moderate income or have learning or physical disabilities. The program provides supportive services to help participants reach their goal of graduating and/or transferring to a four-year school. The program offers advising, tutoring, transfer guidance, cultural enrichment activities, quality workshops and mentoring for SSS students. The program is located in the Student Success Center and office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. More information can be obtained by contacting the Student Support Services Director, 820-1149. Interested students are encouraged to contact the director immediately as the success rate and consistent quality of its program has led to an occasional waiting list of applicants.
