PLACEMENT ASSESSMENTS
Labette Community College is committed to student success in coursework and programs of study. Placement assessments are utilized to place students into English, mathematics and reading courses for which they have the most appropriate level of knowledge and skills to succeed. Placement assessments are not used to deny admission to the College. Failure to take the placement assessments can result in ineligibility for financial aid.
Students who plan to enroll in these courses for the first time are required to take placement assessments before the enrollment in those courses (at any level) will be permitted. Scores will be used to place students in the most appropriate courses. Students may arrange to take placement assessments by calling the Labette Community College Student Success Center, Parsons campus at (620) 820-1147. No appointment is necessary, although it is preferred in that they help ensure you will have a qualified staff person available to assist you. SSC staff are also available for testing during the specific evening we are at our extension sites, as posted in the Schedule of Courses.
