The Criminal Justice Program at Labette Community College prepares future leaders for a variety of fields such as law enforcement, corrections, social services or justice administration. Designed for students seeking supervisory and administrative roles, this program blends criminal justice foundations and principles with leadership, management, and ethics to equip you with the skills to oversee operations, manage personnel, and drive change within the justice system.

Upon completion of the program graduates can choose to either transfer to a four-year institution to continue their studies or will be well-prepared for careers in:

  • Law Enforcement (Police Officer, Sheriff’s Deputy, Federal Agent)
  • Corrections (Correctional Officer, Probation/Parole Officer
  • Legal Professions (Court Clerk, Legal Assistant)
  • Security & Investigations (Private Investigator, Loss Prevention Specialist)
  • Social Services (Victim Advocate, Juvenile Counselor)

Credit for Prior Training (Law Enforcement and Military Friendly): 

Individuals who have completed training at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC) or have Military Police (MP) service may be eligible to receive credit for certain courses, recognizing their prior experience and facilitating their educational advancement.
