The Library will be offering 24/7 hours during Finals Week May 1-9 for LCC Students to study for finals. Verified employees, staff members, and currently enrolled students in possession of an access card and a valid employee or a current student ID card will be allowed 24/7 privileges for this week only. Patrons in possession of access card privileges will have access to the computers, online databases, and study areas for both quiet and group study. There will not be library staff available. If a student requires librarian assistance, those services will only be available during regular hours. The Library will be monitored via surveillance cameras and staff rotations at all times.
Applications for an access card are available online in RedZone (on the Library Tab), in the Library, and in M301. Employees and students will need two forms of identification to complete the application process, typically their employee or their student ID and their driver’s license. Once approved, the applicant will be notified via their employee or student email account. Once the email is received, a patron may schedule a time to pick up their access card in M301.
Key Card holders must present both the key card and a valid LCC student or employee ID card when requesting to stay after the library closes for the day, if staying after hours or when requested by a circulating LCC employee monitoring said access. Any student or LCC employee without a proper Key Card and valid LCC ID card will not be allowed in or to stay in the LCC Library after hours. Violation of any of the procedures will lead to termination of access privileges.
