Reeves Awarded Latzer Art Award

Kelsey ReevesParsons, KS--The Labette Community College Gallery Committee has chosen student, Kelsey Reeves, as the winner for the John and Bonnie Latzer Student Art Award for the Fall 2017 semester. The Latzer Art Award was established to recognize student achievement in the Fine Arts at Labette Community College. The winning artwork is a painting titled “Mau” by Reeves was painted in the Painting 1 class.

Reeves was awarded a $500 scholarship to be used the following semester. The award may be applied to her tuition, fees and/or books. 

"This scholarship will help pay for tuition next semester." Said Reeves. "I will be able to work a little less, to focus on studying."

Reeves piece of art will be permanently on display at Labette Community College.
