LABETTE COMMUNITY COLLEGE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP AUCTION | BENEFIT FOR LCC STUDENTS

Parsons, KS - [Feb 29, 2024] - The Labette Community College (LCC) Foundation and Alumni Association will host the 25th annual Auction for Scholarships on Saturday, April 6, at the Parsons VFW. This year’s event sponsor is McCarty Office Machines Inc.

In coordination with LCC’s 100th birthday, this year’s auction theme is “LCC through the Eras.” The auction is the college's dominant fundraising event for student scholarships. This event also allows community members and businesses the opportunity to devote their time or money to the college.

The “LCC through the Eras” auction will provide hors d’oeuvres and a full dinner provided by Labette Health. The event will also feature a live and silent auction and other fun activities. Furthermore, the Foundation will host an online auction from April 7th to April 14th for those who cannot attend the event but wish to contribute to LCC.

LCC Foundation Executive Director Lindi Forbes and LCC President Dr. Mark Watkins are seeking support for this event that helps students reach their educational goals.  The Foundation’s goal for this year’s event is to raise $50,000. “Last year, we raised nearly $49,000. As enrollment has increased, we really hope to surpass that amount, so we can help even more students pay for college,” said Forbes.

If individuals or businesses want to make cash or check donations, they can mail donations to the LCC Foundation, 200 S. 14th St., Parsons, Kansas, 67357. Or stop by the Foundation Office at 1306 Main Street inside the Cardinal Event Center, Monday-Thursday, 8 am-5 pm. Debit or credit donations can be received at labette.edu/foundation.
