LCC Host Committed Signing Event

Labette Community College (LCC) Athletic Department recently organized a Committed Signing Event for four volleyball sophomores coached by Haley Cook. The event occurred on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, in the Booster Lounge at the Zetmeir Athletic Complex. All Lady Cardinals have received full-ride scholarships based on their academic and athletic abilities to their respective Universities.

Leticia & Mariana Franco, from Recife, Brazil, have committed to Division I Mississippi Valley State University.  Both ladies are majoring in Secondary Education/Art.  Leticia holds a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0, while Mariana holds a GPA of 3.93.

Kariela Torres, from Mansfield, TX, has committed to Division II Arkansas Tech University. Torres is a Kinesiology/Exercise Science Major with a GPA of 3.87.

Khiani Jackson, from St. Joseph, MO, has committed to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) at William Penn University. Jackson is a Psychology major with a GPA of 3.00.

“I am so excited for these sophomore girls,” stated Coach Cook. “They have worked hard, and I am proud of their commitment to their next college!”
