Application to the Program
Applications are accepted on a yearly basis for the fall semester. Applications are typically due in mid-March and the selection/interview process conducted from April to May with acceptance letters sent in May. Please refer to the application packet on the left-handcolumn for more details.
What courses do I need in order to apply for admission to the program?
Students applying for admission to the PTA program should have completed or be currently enrolled in the following courses at the time of their application:

|Total General Education Requirement||26|
Courses must be completed successfully by the end of the spring semester.
What are the other requirements for applying for admission to the PTA program?
- Minimum GPA 2.5 in all prerequisite coursework
- TEAS assessment test
- Completion of LCC Physical Therapist Assistant application, including:
- Letter of application
- Letters of reference (3)
- Documentation of minimum of 24 hours of observation, volunteer service or work experience in a Physical Therapy Department (see application packet for details).

*Note: The TEAS is a proctored exam and you must register to take it. It is required for your application to the PTA Program to be considered complete. Exam dates have been posted for the class beginning in August. Contact (620) 820-1157 for details.
