Labette Community College Recognizes Nallely Cruz-Gonzalez with Student Support Services Outstanding Student Award

Parsons, KS – Labette Community College (LCC) is proud to announce that Nallely Cruz-Gonzalez, a graduating student earning her Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Nursing, has been selected as the recipient of the Student Support Services Outstanding Student Award.

This prestigious honor recognizes students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement, strong leadership skills, and a meaningful, positive impact on the LCC campus. As part of the award, Nallely will receive a custom frame for her LCC diploma.

Student Support Services, a federally funded TRIO program, is designed to support students in achieving their academic goals. Lauren Holmes, Nallely’s advisor, shared heartfelt praise for her journey:

“Nallely has shown incredible dedication to her academics, even when faced with tough challenges. She’s pushed through with perseverance, grit, and tenacity in her pursuit of a nursing degree. Throughout her journey, she never gave up, always finding ways to grow and keep moving forward. Her resilience and hard work have not only helped her succeed but also inspired those around her. Nallely represents what it means to push through and stay committed.”

LCC commends Nallely Cruz-Gonzalez not only for her academic accomplishments but also for the strength of character and determination she has exhibited throughout her time at the college. Her success reflects the mission of the Student Support Services program and serves as an inspiration to students across campus.
