Parsons, KS Labette Community College communications student, Madison Shepard, is launching “Cardinal Kindness Week,” a campus-wide awareness campaign designed to showcase meaningful acts of kindness experienced or witnessed by students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters.

From April 14 through April 16, participants are invited  to respond to the prompt, “What’s the most meaningful act of kindness you’ve experienced or witnessed on campus?” Individuals may record a short video at an on-campus booth located in the Student Union or submit a written story.

Stories collected throughout the campaign will be compiled into a growing archive and shared on official college platforms and social media using the hashtag #CardinalKindness.” A final video montage and story display will highlight the positive impact of kindness within the LCC community.

The campaign aims to strengthen connections and foster a culture of empathy and support across campus. While acts of kindness happen every day, they are not always recognized publicly. “Cardinal Kindness” creates a space for reflection and celebration of those meaningful moments.
