Parsons, KS—Students in the Labette Community College Public Relations class are hosting “Paws with a Cause,” a community donation drive to support PALS, the Proud Animal Lovers Shelter, from April 13-16 in the LCC Student Union.
The event aims to raise awareness about the needs of the local shelter while collecting essential supplies. Community members are encouraged to contribute items such as dry and wet dog and cat food, cat litter, cleaning supplies including paper towels, bleach, and laundry detergent, as well as pet toys, leashes, collars, and gently used blankets and towels.
“Animals make an incredible impact on our lives, and this event gives our community a chance to give back,” said Charlotte Watson, event coordinator. “Every donation helps provide support to animals that depend on organizations like PALS.”
PALS is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming animals in the Parsons area. Donations collected during the event will go directly toward supporting the shelter’s needs. To inquire about volunteering for PALS or to make a monetary donation directly to PALS, visit palsshelter.com for more information.
